Setting our Eyes on tomorrow.

by Josh on March 2, 2009

So many times we get focused on today and that takes our eyes of Christ, the prize that we should be running after constantly.
Thinking of ways to make this blog look cooler has taken my focus off the fact that this blog is going to be used to reach people for the Kingdom. I want to create an environment that will foster innovation and thinking within the Christian community. Ways that we can go about reaching this world throughout the 21st century. Ways we can invest into the culture that will last for generations to come.

Let’s look at Paul for example. You might say who is Paul? Well Paul was sinner just like you and me, but not just that he was a Pharisee(religious and probably legalistic followers of the law). Man Paul didn’t like Jesus, but Jesus made an impact in his life. The implications of the impact in Paul’s life spread, for Paul became part of God’s plan. Paul corrected actions of the early Church and kept the focus on Christ.

What investment can do is change the world, but are we ready for true change that only comes through the power of Christ.

You are right when you say that we take our eyes off of Christ when trying to focus on today.

One thing that has helped me is not only to look at each day through the Lens’ of Christ, but to not be anxious in worrying about tomorrow or the next week.

Thanks for devoting yourself to the service of the gospel here in Raleigh.

one love
